"I created Total Hockey to help players develop their skills and take their game to the next level. Our programs are hockey-specific and work on all the basic skills required to play the game. We’ve kept the training fun and positive with challenging drills. Throughout each session, each player will frequently be handling a puck or ball. Our program will improve each player’s athleticism and it will build confidence in their puck skills and playmaking ability. It is impossible to improve a player’s total skills with on ice practices and games only.I’m excited about Total Hockey and its potential for helping each individual player no matter what level they are playing at.
"The program at Total Hockey - Hudson is a great example of what happens when a hockey mind thinks creatively about helping youngsters become better players. Dean Talafous knows from first-hand experience the importance of quickness in the first few strides and the ability to combine stick skills with skating and vision. Anyone who watches a session of Total Hockey - Hudson will walk away saying, ‘No question -- they're better hockey players right now, than they were an hour ago.’ The Talafous philosophy is that multi-tasking -- using hands, feet, and vision, all at the same time -- separates great players from average ones. Combining this with quickness training on the ramp -- and adding an element of recorded competition to measure personal improvement -- makes each workout seem like a hockey game. So, after watching young players train at Total Hockey - Hudson, you wonder how dryland training could ever be done another way.”

"Total Hockey Training will drastically improve all players, from mites to professionals. The SPEED RAMP gives me that extra step that I need to stay quick and competitive in the NHL. Total Hockey is by far the best skills training program for ALL ages and levels of players."
"I was privileged to see Total Hockey in action. I was very impressed with the ‘total’ approach to hockey training. The skating ramp is one of the best ways to train off ice for explosive acceleration that I’ve ever seen. A great concept and one that really works. Players who want to ‘get the jump’ should definitely work on the skating ramp. Players who want to develop their total hockey skills should go to Total Hockey.
